My goals for the quarterly Finish-Along from On the Windy Side:
Already in progress projects
Summer Beach Quilt – nearly done, need to figure out backing and quilting (to tie or not to tie); I also want to make a coordinating pillow.
Giant plus quilt – need to finish piecing, hopefully before backing fabric arrives
Scrappy spiderweb strings – start sewing blocks together and make some more blocks – I don’t think this will get done before the end of the year but I’m going to put it on my list anyway.
Harry Potter scarf for T – already started, I’m doing a k1 rib (rather than knitting in the round).
Panda pillow in semisolid black and white – I’m going to use the Panda-monium pattern from Fat Quarter Shop and turn it into a pillow as a parting gift for our intern. I have some semisolid and black/white prints to use on this.
Baby quilt for M&M – gender neutral quilt, I have a fabric pull (the house fabric will be the backing) but haven’t decided on a pattern. I’m thinking wonky stars. But maybe little houses would be cute? Or too twee?
E&D baby quilt – college friends who are expecting their first baby. Our school mascot was an alligator and they are both working at a university whose mascot is an eagle, so I want to do some paper piecing and include both of those. I’m thinking the ‘Gator Quilt Pattern and the Eagle Block. I’m thinking a double sided quilt with each side using muted versions of the school colors.
Baby quilt for Cinna – I’m going to make the Swirling Medallion baby quilt from Quilting Modern. Cinna is decorating the baby’s room in a pirate theme so I need to pull some fabrics – I’m thinking a coraly-red, navy, and aqua with a pale gray background.
Not part of the FAL but some personal goals:
Gravity – finish block 2 and stay caught up
Keep up to date on bee blocks
