Marching on

10 Jun

In the past week I have…

Added to my Giant Plus Quilt – I now have 8 of 15 rows completed:

You may also note that I have scrunched up my GPQ so it is not taking up nearly as much space on my design wall, which leaves more room for my…

Spiderweb string blocks! I have 6 blocks completed now with 2 more nearly done and while it’s still slow going I seem to have a better system for making these scrappy blocks (my cutting table is still a disaster though). I also made a template which makes marking go faster. I have also begun incorporating some of my own scraps into this project – so far just in that dark gold/yellow color. Conveniently I have some scraps from GPQ that go quite well!

And I’ve also completed Block 4  – Intergalactic for the Gravity QAL:

Question for any other Gravity QAL-ers – how are you storing your blocks? I have them all up on the design wall at the moment but that’s getting crowded, and I don’t have a good flat space to lay them out.

You may notice that I am still missing block 2 – Constellation. I have that all cut out and I just need to piece it together and I will be all caught up with the QAL!

All the projects on your design wall look lovely though the spider web is the scrappy one! Thanks for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!

I’m loving your spiderweb blocks. I think it’s the color palette that reels me in and makes me wish it were my own project! : )

Thanks! I’m really happy with it (which is good because they really do take a loooong time to make).
